OpenOffice.org Base Report Wizard error

Submitted by mrwilloby on January 9, 2008 - 2:06am

When trying to use the Report Wizard in OpenOffice.org Base I get the following error message:

OpenOffice.org 2.3
The wizard could not be run, because important files were not found.
Under 'Tools - Options - OpenOffice.org - Paths' click the 'Default' button to reset the paths to the original default settings.
Then run the wizard again.

Obviously the paths cannot be reset to defaults because of the PortableApps modifications. I guess this just has to be looked into and a patch released.

Uninstalling openoffice

Submitted by evelienrv on January 8, 2008 - 10:31am

Hi there!

Altough openoffice is a very nice (free) program, I still want to uninstall it. But the question is how?

I never found a program that will uninstall openoffice and can't find it in my configuration/software to delete the program.

Went something wrong in the installation? Or did I miss something?

Thanks

Greetings,

Evelien

Komponenten-Manager nicht verfügbar

Submitted by hn1001 on December 25, 2007 - 6:12am

Woran liegt's?

file association for non-portable use

Submitted by OpaJo on December 23, 2007 - 6:17am

Hi,
since I mainly use the portable apps on my home pc (I know this is not the intended use for it) I would like to associate some file types directly with the right OpenOfficePortable App. But this seems to be not easy/impossible. All these commands always opens the filter selection first:
OpenOfficeCalcPortable.exe "%1"
OpenOfficePortable.exe -calc "%1"
OpenOfficeCalcPortable.exe -calc "%1"

So, is there another solution than using soffice.exe -calc "%1" or scalc.exe "%1" directly?

Not able to upgrade my OOP 2.2.1

Submitted by titus483 on December 22, 2007 - 4:32pm

I downloaded the German version of OpenOffice Portable 2.3.1 Rev 2 and want to upgrade my old 2.2.1 OOP on a U3-USB-Stick. On that stick I run the Portable Apps Menu and that is where I call "Options" and then "Install a new app...". I get a DOS-Window opening but closing so fast that I'm unable to read the error-message. Nothing happens after that.
I also tried to run the downloaded file as an administrator (right-click and run as admin) but to no success.
What's the problem?
