OpenOffice Portable

Why can't I move all the other launcher's to a temp folder so that only the writer shows up in menu?

When I move them all except the writer to a temp folder I created in OpenOffice then refresh the writer still shows but won't launch.

What does the other launcher's being moved have to do with the writer since it was not touched and won't launch when it is by itself.

If I move the launchers back then the writer works again.

This is not logical.
Am I missing something?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not but does anybody know if it is possible to change the column headings in Calc, i.e instead of A it could be something like Vendor Number.

i installed Oo on my usb an i can see all apps. i can open them too, but it looks like this:

where is the problem...?

I get a message stating that soffice.exe is not found when trying to start open office. I can't sppm to find this file anywere in the downloaded and installed package. What am I doing worng ??

Hoping someone could help me...
I just D/l Open Office to hard drive. In all apps I have no TITLES visable in top toolbar (such as file, edit, tools). Also below that in the app toolbars there are button boxes and arrows for drop down visable but no text or titles there either.
I deleted and re-d/loaded... still same issue.
Any ideas?

I'm specifically using OO Writer, but their all kind of the one program anyway.

The Spellcheck says that everything that has alphanumeric digits is a word.

I went to:
Tools->Options->Language Settings->Writing Aids
and pressed the edit button for the 'avaliable language modules'.
The language was set to Czech. I changed it to English(UK), but this didn't
save as the new setting. I tried English(USA) as well since an earlier setting
was English(USA) or Default - I thought USA might be the main one to be made
or something.

OpenOffice - I Only need the word processor/desktop publisher, Why make me download all OpenOfice programs??

Space is at a premium on My U3... Need I say more??

I have just loaded office portable and when I try to create use base it gives me the error "JRE required". It tells me to download the jre and then restart office. My question is where do I get this file, I have looked on the Sun site and don't see which file I need. Any help would be great.

I tried to make a presentation and when I selected a transition effect it crashed several times. I was not online so I didn't send the error report. Is this normal ?

I was under the impression that the launcher would bring up a small bar with icons to click for each of the components of Open Office. Or I thought it might put a button on my system try with a right-click menu like a previous version of (non-portable) OOo did. When I double click OpenOfficePortable.exe, I get an empty app window with a normal menu bar at the top. Is this what the Open Office launcher is supposed to do? That doesn't seem much like a "launcher" to me.
