Other Apps Support (Deprecated)

In Google Chrome, Skype and Frets on Fire (and others I can't recall at present), I get the error mentioned in the subject:
-> ERROR: (chrome_installer.exe > chrome.7z)

I initially used the PortableApps 10 platform, but replicated the error (with Chrome) by downloading directly from PortableApps.com (using an 'installed' Google Chrome).

I'm using Windows7 x64.

Can anyone shed light on why this is happening, or better, suggest a solution?

Also: how, please, can a bug request be submitted to PortableApps?

Some time ago I realised PokerTH Portable has 2 splash screens.A "portable one" and one from the app (in App/PokerTH/data/gfx/gui/misc/welcomepokerth.png).
Maybe those could be merged and only the one from the app be used with a portableapps.com-stripe at the bottom?

A kind request for the developer of ScribusPortable: is it possible that next release will have an option for hiding the splashscreen (as per portable apps platform option in Advanced tab) or at least that it isn't set as "top most" - I mean it takes some good time to have the application loaded (especially if newer fonts are available) and in that time I would like to be able to watch / read a webpage or something else without having 60% of my screen covered with the splash-screen.

When registering IrfanView, registration is only detected when in /App/IrfanView/i_view32.ini and not when in /Data/IrfanView/i_view32.ini

Registration is like this (false reg) :
[Registration]
Name=xxxx
Code=000000000

The problem is that /app/IrfanView/i_view32.ini is overwroten when updating.

Maybe adding
[FilesToPreserve]
PreserveFile1=App\IrfanView\i_view32.ini
in /App/AppInfo/installer.ini would do the trick.

I'm waiting for next upgrade to check if it's working.

my problem with Scribus Port 1.4.0, it won't start by doubleclicking "ScribusPortable.exe" in home dir, or via shortcut. Running XP Pro SP2 -
Can chase it further from my end or supply further info.

Is it possible to change the settings on chrome? because evertime I use google chrome it reset to hes standard settings. I like to change the settings to my favorite settings and keep them like that (changing files).

Can someone help me how to?

When I run Google Chrome Dev I find that it opens 18 chrome.exe instances as shown in Process Explorer. Beta and Stable seem to open a few less but still a bunch. Is this a result of portableizing or does the regular install do this too? After an hour or so my computer seems to get real sloooow but not sure whether to blame that on Chrome or Win7.

While installing "SkypePortable_5.8.0.154_online.paf", I've getting message "The installer was unable to download Skzpe. ... (ERROR: SendRequest Error)"

Why it happends ? I'm not behind proxy, all other installation of Portable Apps works.

I've used songbird portable from my desktop.
Now i've moved it in a different folder...but eacg time i launch it it creates a directory :
d:\xxxxxx\xxxxx\Desktop\SongbirdPortable\Data\profile\db
on my desktop.

Someone knows how to explane to songbird that is not the right places?
