Okay boys and girls, I have already been to Nooskewl and their irc, and PAs' Irc channel no one responded there. The problem, I am on WINXP HOME, 3 Ghz, Geforce 6200, I am running the game from a folder on my desktop after installing it to my usb drive and then copy/paste to the desktop. When I run it, it takes quite a long time, many hours, even went to sleep once, to get to what I think is where you actually gain control, which is in a cell.

I have tried to open GnuCash (accounting) software today numerous times. I get the introductory screen along with the tip of the day. But everything closes down just as quick. Is this program any good?

this folder is 386 MB and it's a problem for me.

it has the following files followed by size:

1.) is it safe to delete these ?
2.) how can I prevent their creation? (other than removing the App)

I updated the launcher to 1.4 via platform Next pre-release 4.1, and it proceeded to delete the \PortableApps\XAMPP\App\xampp which contained my complete and customized XAMPP installation with all my domain development projects. Could have been pretty devastating had I not just backed it up.

Probably not an issue with the platform so much as something noteworthy about the Launcher installer. Is it the intent to wipe the xampp folder on update?

Note to all: always, and I mean ALWAYS, backup before updating.

I've found another bug in the installer: When running the installer with plugininstaller.ini, the installer blindly copies all files/folders in the directory, rather than only App, Other, help.html & any exe's in the root.

This only occurs when running as a plugininstaller, when running as a standard install, the installer demonstrates the correct behaviour.

I've discovered a bug within what I think is PAI - When running the installer against an app destined to be installed in CommonFiles, if there is both an appinfo and a plugininstaller file, the appinfo is given precedence, and the app is pacakged to install to PortableApps. However, if the appinfo file is removed/renamed, the plugininstaller is given precedence as expected. The issue arises wherein appinfo.ini is required by a launcher running from CommonFiles.

Accordingly, it is currently impossible to install a PAL-based app to CommonFiles

Problem:
Run GooglePortableChrome, open webpage and use tools to create an application shortcut on desktop.
Double click the shortcut - runs okay.
Double click again - nothing!

In the App\Chrome-bin directory is debug.log. Content is
[1018/115504:ERROR:client_util.cc(228)] Failed to load Chrome DLL from 0012FEA4
[1018/115504:ERROR:client_util.cc(269)] Could not find exported function RelaunchChromeBrowserWithNewCommandLineIfNeeded

EraserDrop is an amazing program , really

but i would ask some questions

1) does it exist a normal (not portable version )?

2) is developed by a portableapps.com member ?

3) will be develop in the future ?

i would like to know because it's a great really amazing program , and i can not find the homepage and i can'tunderstand the need of a launcher (seeing it's only portable)

Is there a chance to get the Dia input extension working in Inkscape Portable?

Extension "Dia Input" failed to load because a dependency was not met.

It would be nice if it would recognize Dia Portable when found.
