Operating system: Windows XP Home SP3

When I start my computer and try to open Opera Portable, or the PortableApps.com Platform, sometimes Windows Explorer disappears temporarily. The taskbar and the desktop icons disappear, but under a minute, Explorer is restored again. The icons on the right of the taskbar are refreshed, appearing one at a time. The second time I try to execute a program/the platform, it opens up normally until I boot my computer again.

I am just wondering if I can add or remove themes,I tried to add png images into Chrome folder and PATheme.ini file for Themes folder, everything seems correct but it doesn't work.

I really like how the new menu system includes categories. So much easier to manage. I have a couple of questions today related to the menu.

1) Is it possible for me/anyone to somehow go into the application and modify the category it is under? (Perhaps I want finer details.)
2) Can I nest categories?

I have a few paid portable programs Such as Goodsync and Roboform that simply will not install in any folder other than the root of the drive.

Is there a way for me to create a shortcut in the launch menu that can point to these executables?

I have tested this several times, and whenever you start the uninstaller and change focus, the uninstaller goes into a loop. I checked the software folder and the app is gone but the uninstaller just sits there and loops.

Platform Launcher (Start.exe) close with error. at two different PC (Report below). Yesterday all it work fine.

Is is possible to stop Platform 10 from checking for updates? I realize it isn't supposed to download without checking but I don't like anything "calling home" without permission.

Wow, Portable Apps have gotten pretty big too. My current version runs on a 2 GIG drive with room to spare and I still have one version operating one a 1 GIG drive. I don't see a "light" version cataloged.

How can I prevent the PortableApps Platform update from replacing the custom App\Bin\eject.exe file I created to unmount my TrueCrypt volume before ejecting the USB stick?

Due to the many apps I have in my Portable Apps List, I search for a particular app by typing the first few characters. Before v10, all the apps with the same first characters appear. Further typing shortens the list until I see the app I want. In the current platform, the first character always starts with a special character. (¬),(HEX 00AC). I have to delete this character and start typing again to give the name of the app I am searching for.

I have tried numerous times to backup my portable apps platform - fails every time. Not sure where the problem lies.

Get the error that states the backup has failed - check the configuration.
