PortableApps.com Platform

Was hoping the new platform would be offering a solution for this (haven't followed the beta and been using a different menu MOD upto now)

What I think is still the biggest PITA is that there's no access to the actual file properties of the programs listed on the menu.

This originates from the fact that program names never indicate whether it is the 32bit or the 64bit version of the same program if it comes with both.

This has been happening since 2.0 Beta 7 at the earliest, but I figured it would have been picked up in testing, so that's why I didn't report it before now. Anyway, when changing or removing the user icon, the menu starts causing access violations with every action and often crashes completely. I can reproduce this faithfully, every single time. Must be a buffer overflow somewhere or something.

Greetings! I have a problem with update system on PortableApps Platform. I'm using Firefox Portable and update it manually (through browser menu), it's already have last version (9.0.1) and when I start PortableApps Platform it ask me to download an update for FF. How can I fix this mistake?

i think it's good to have a library in the platform ! it's really useful !
but now the arrangement of file directory is not very reasonable !
now the root of library is named documents and it contained three files --- music、videos、pictures.
i think it's good to put the file of documents at the same file with other three,for example the file named portablefiles

Trendmicro is identifying "eject.exe" in Portableapps Platform (10.0.1) as carrying spyware. None of the 41 other antivirus programs checked by Virustotal.com did so, just TrendMicro.

I searched here under "eject" but did not see any previous posting regarding TrendMicro or ADW KRADARE.

Instead of relying on a third-party app, it would be nice if the eject option (add eject confirmation tick box) would shutdown all apps running from the PortableApps drive.

On the site it says "You can organize apps into folders automatically or create your own that work the way you think".

In my PortableApps folder I have the apps organised in sub-directories based on categories, however the Platform software doesn't list them.

Do I need to set an option or something?

Yesterday, I installed PortableApps and somes portables applications on a 2 GB USB key. Everything seems to work fine.

Today, when I plug in the USB key, Windows 7 asks to format it.

So, I format it (FAT32), reinstall everything and check it again. Everything worked fine. Then, I remove the USB key using the eject button in PortableApps menu and plug it in again. Once more, Windows asks to format the key.

I checked in Window's Computer Management and find out filesystem changed from FAT32 to RAW.

What's the problem?

I am running PortableApps 10.0.1 and have no idea how I upgraded it, I think it was version 2.0 before. Is this an auto upgrade?

When downloading new versions do you have to uninstall PortableApps or install over the existing program on the USB drive?

I do not recall downloading 10.0.1. Strange.

Apologies in advance if this has been already answered, but I just started using the PA Platform ....

My question: how can I change the list of frequently used folder list (currently "Documents" "Music" Pictures" etc.) to a list of my own choice?
