How do I configure 3rd party themes to be recognized by PAM's theme switching feature (instead of browsing)?
I had an idea: package PAM (like what you did with PortableApps Backup) with an encryptation tool, or something that protects the "Documents" folder with a password. Sorry for my English, I'm a Portuguese student. It's also my 1st time in the forums.
Loading Firefox from a USB drive can be slow at times. Is it possible to have an option in Portable Apps Menu to use the default Browser for the PC, rather than Firefox on the USB drive, when opening menu items such as "Help" or "Search". I know that I can delete Firefox (or rename the directory) an then IE will load, but a Menu optionwould be easier.
It would also be great to be able to add Documents such as Wiki files, or Notepad Text files to PA menu
Hi,
Would there be any way at all, now or in the future to change this *annoying* behavior?
I want them to stay at the top no matter if I press the down (or up) arrow(s).
Thanks
I looked at the backup option in this program, and was happy at first until I realized it is only a static backup.
Is there any way this can be made incremental, ie with Open Source technologies, or must I look elsewhere for what I need.
Hi guys,
I noticed there are still some problems with the new patheme-file format. So I made a small tutorial about installing and creating themes for PAP 2.0 beta. It can be found here:
Tutorials
(It's still in german yet. If somebody wants to help me translating it to common english I could send a rough-and-ready version).
Have a nice day,

----edit----
Now it's available in english, too.
But terribly. I better had to ask Yoda for a translation.
hello everybody,
each time I start a portable app, I get the MS dialog to confirm / trust the vendor/developer of this program - I guess some certificate issue.
I installed the certificate being attached to the apps, using the default MS certificate store. This as such did work, but when starting the next app, I do get the same question again...
What did I miss?
best regards

Ok.. I know I'm not the smartest brick in the pile some days.. however, I can't figure this one out. I am using the Portable Apps version 1.5.2 installed on an 8gb flash drive. My main machine is a Pentium 4 2.8 GHz w/ 2 Gb of Ram Windows XP Pro Corp machine. When I installed it the first time it was working GREAT.. I love it. I love it so much I purchased a 32Gb Flash Drive so I could make the tools on the drive more complete for my and to have more storage.
Hi guys, just wondering if anybody has any tips for the upcoming win7 arrival?
Will it affect Portable Apps use?
(I already found that you may need to chat with Symantec if you have one of those 3-machine licenses and are using XP.)
First I'd like to say Hi and thanks for a great forum.
Just a small comment on installing the Portable apps platform and suite.
The instructions advise putting them on the root of the I drive.
I am using it with Avast Portable on a Cruzer 16GB Sandisk.
After fiddling around I found that if I install Avast as a LP Launcher Program it will then fire up when I put the drive in and check the computer I am using.
