hi, i use portable apps on my usb stick.
and i want that the wallpaper i have putted on my usb stick become automaticly my desktop wallpaper, and this works at home, but if i stick my usb stick in any computer at school and i start portable apps, the desktop wallpaper changes but we have an active desktop at school so the wallpaper comes under the active wallpaper and so cant i see the wallpaper i want to see.

i've been using a "portable" eject program that works when the standard one does not

i also downloaded a 'script' that is supposed to do the trick, haven't tried it yet

they work

perhaps we could integrate something into the menu?

I remember a while back a topic that talked about how allowing changing the PAF icon to something else would cause confusion if a user needed help and someone said "click the grey arrow icon" re:"there isn't one"

holy crap, that "more information" link just erased my post!

anyway.. i'll have to summarize:

1. resize handles
2. resizing of individual panels within app launcher app
3. new name for platform launcher platform thingy
4. dropdown/popup menus for panel items
5. shrink/enlarge panels, or entire launcher, from entire screen size to a few arrows, each with drop-menus (or something more fun like clear red plastic style popup window type menus)
6. the ability to code this myself tonight (:>)

Just wanted to see if anyone else can confirm. I seem to have found an incompatibility between Stardock's ObjectDock and the Portable Launcher app. I know they are two different beasts, but I wasn't able to ever access the menu more than once before it would stop responding. The application list wouldn't scroll, nothing would happen if you tried to click on the applications, folder links, or settings option. It would require me to eject the drive and re-insert it and launch the platform again.

This happened with both the 1.5 and the new beta version.

Allows user to keep any notes they like, e.g if it's a beta version - any test results; in the future for non-PA apps - from where they were obtained; even just a reminder of what the apps does, some names aren't obvious and some memories aren't what they used to be!

A nice touch would be to display, say the first line or until some indicator, the text on the end of the information that is displayed when the mouse hovers over the menu entry.

Well, I was modifying John's windows 7 theme and I noticed some bugs with the menu... during my theming fail...

Well, the problem was the menu icons being a corrupt png. As a result, the menu got buggy, and a lot more problems happened, so much I couldn't do anything with it.

First... the personal picture disappeared, along with the menu icons, and the app list icons.

Microsoft wants to remove autorun from flashdrives in vista and XP like they did in Windows 7 through an update.
