I recall not being able use arrow keys in the portable menu but it was allowed, now can I use home/end keys to help navigate my exceedingly long list of "portable" programs?
Thanks
Now with adding portable freeware to portableapps.com, there probably will be a lot of apps added to the list. So I think maybe it's time to make installing an app more convienent. Yes I know it's already very simple, but basically you have to do the same steps each time you want to install an app (going to portableapps.com , select the app, download the app from sourceforge, run the installer).
Forced close of all applications on Exit - a la Codyssey.
I think, it would be better in such a way because one must close otherwise always every program individually.
Hi,
I'm from Colombia.
I'm using PAM Desktop Icon Portable for the usefull application closing on eject. When I close the Menu from the eject option of PAM Desktop Icon Portable (right click in the on top icon), the menu don't change it back the wallpaper.
Thanks and Regards.
I was just wondering if there was a way to change the location of the Music, Pictures, and Videos folders linked from the PortableApps Launcher (say, from X:\Documents\Music to X:\Music). I just don't like the way those folders are setup on my device, since its main purpose is to be a media drive to connect to Xbox. Are there any hidden scripts I should know about that can change those settings?
Hello, It's only a request. What about getting new programs and installing they directly from the portableapps plataform? Like most linux distros do.
How do I configure 3rd party themes to be recognized by PAM's theme switching feature (instead of browsing)?
I had an idea: package PAM (like what you did with PortableApps Backup) with an encryptation tool, or something that protects the "Documents" folder with a password. Sorry for my English, I'm a Portuguese student. It's also my 1st time in the forums.
Loading Firefox from a USB drive can be slow at times. Is it possible to have an option in Portable Apps Menu to use the default Browser for the PC, rather than Firefox on the USB drive, when opening menu items such as "Help" or "Search". I know that I can delete Firefox (or rename the directory) an then IE will load, but a Menu optionwould be easier.
It would also be great to be able to add Documents such as Wiki files, or Notepad Text files to PA menu
