LO 5.1 Missing top menu

Submitted by Dedanaan on February 19, 2016 - 4:14am

I just downloaded and "installed" the new LibreOffice 5.1 portable to a Win7 64-bit machine.

I am encountering odd behavior and want to know if I am the only one so far.

In Writer, there is no top menu (File, Format, View, etc) visible, although I can get the drop-down menus to appear after 1-2 seconds hovering the mouse over the menu options. The menus themselves are erratic and flicker when traversing with the mouse.

In Calc, the top menu is displayed, but there are no toolbars displayed, even when toggling them on and off in the View > Toolbar menu.

I read that version 5.1 has support for accessing the cloud, it's something that interests me a lot. When it will be available in portable version ?.
Thank you

LibreOffice Portable 5.0.3 Black Screen on Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Submitted by hnzw.rui on January 2, 2016 - 9:19pm

I'm having issues with LibreOffice Portable 5.0.3 on my new Windows 10 Home 64-bit laptop. Whenever I open it, the LibreOffice window is just black. Even the splash when starting the program is black. I'm not getting any errors or crashes. The Windows title bar shows up and is functional (I can minimize, restore or close just fine) but everything inside the window is just plain black.

Libre Office (updated 12/29/2015) won't start

Submitted by jojothehobo on December 30, 2015 - 4:13am

Hi All:

LibreOffice was updated on 12/29 along with a bunch of other programs in my portable apps package.

When I try to start LibreOffice (any component writer, calc etc) it begins to start up and then kicks out the following error message:

"Component cannot be loaded, possibly broken or incomplete installation.
Full error message:

loading component library
file:///C:/Users/jdubow/Desktop/PortableApps/LibreOfficePortable/App/libreoffice/program/../program/swlo.dll> failed."

[Fixed] Error when updating to 5.0.3

When I try to install the update to LlibreOffice Portable as pops up when starting I get the message:
"The downloaded copy of LibreOffice Portable is not valid and cannot be installed. ..."

It appears to download two files one after the other, even though the downloads say 1 of 1.
Happens on two Windows 7 machines (the only two with LibreOffice Portable installed).
