Update To 6.1.2 Fails

Submitted by NotMine on October 18, 2018 - 6:03pm

The update to 6.1.2 is failing to install.

It appears to download correctly.

Thenit appears to extract correctly, assuming that is what it is doing after the download step.

Then the 3rd and final step starts and immediately errors out with this message:

"The downloaded copy of LibreOffice is not valid and can not be installed. This could be due to an incomplete download or other network issue. Please try running the updater again when complete."

LibreOffice Portable Still was installed on my old computer with the windows vista operating system. After installing of the offered update I get now an error message with the note, that this new version only works on windows 7 or higher. However, in the description for version 6.0.6 of LibreOffice Portable Still it is pointed out, that this version can also be used with Windows Vista. Is it possible to undo this update or is there an older version that works with Windows Vista?

When update LibreOffice Portable from v. 6.1.0 to 6.1.1 or 6.1.2

Dear PortableApps.com team!
When do you update LibreOffice from version 6.1.0 to 6.1.1 or 6.1.2 for the portable version?
I use frequently Libreoffice Portable.
Eg., in LibreOffice Calc v. 6.0.5, 6.0.6 and 6.1.0 don't work/update external data (appear #VALUE or #N/A).

LO org says that LO portable can function without a launcher

[LibreOffice web site](https://www.libreoffice.org/download/portable-versions/) says about LibreOffice portable, that can run without the PortableApps platform.

> LibreOffice Portable ... It is packaged in PortableApps.com format so it can work with the PortableApps.com platform
> and its automatic updater and app store, **work with other portable menus, or work by itself from a USB**, cloud or local drive.

[Fixed] OpenSymbol font in LibreOffice Portable 6.0.4 is corrupt

Submitted by fjjimgar on June 16, 2018 - 6:58am

I have detected that the source opens ___. Ttf that comes in the libreoffice package is corrupt, as a result the mathematical operators in Math come out as rare symbols. I have been able to check it on 3 computers.
The solution is to download the source opensymbol.ttf rename it to opens ___. Ttf and replace the one that carries the portable distribution.

Hello,
While making a calc worksheet, I selected the font type, the currency type, and when finished I saved it.
However when I open this worksheet to make more entries (or updates), the font type is not what I selected, had to select it again, same with the currency.
Have I done something wrong ?
Answers will be appreciated.
Thanks

Pasting web content to Writer

Submitted by mini_yang on April 20, 2018 - 8:58am

Hi,

First of all, big thanks to the community for the great work.

I have encountered an issue on LibreOffice Writer. My first laptop with the latest portable version cannot paste web content in a document. The pictures are all broken. I have installed the same non portable version on another laptop and everything works like a charm.
Does anybody have a clue about the reason?

Thanks

HY
