This forum has quite a few Windows registry issues. It may be possible to avoid storing settings in the registry (thus eliminating the need for the .reg file workaround) without modifying the PuTTY source code. The trick is to donate the modified source code to the developers of PuTTY and have them make it a part of their next release.

Due to the existing bugs, I was waiting for the new update (2009-11-09 - FileZilla Client 3.3.0 released) which recently came out. Any ideas if this fixes the on going bugs in the portable version?

I wanted to have Pidgin in my language. So I downloaded all languages packs and then deleted languages I didn't need. But when I run Pidgin it is still in English. The advise how to set a certain language didn't help me:

"head to PidginPortable\Data\settings directory and open up PidginPortableSettings.ini. In there, set PidginLANG equal to the language you wish to use..."

Because I have nothing in the Data folder...

Can you help me, please?

I upgraded to pidgin 2.6.3 from 2.5 and suddenly found half of my yahoo contacts are no longer on the server list. What is going on? And some of the deleted contacts were just online an hour ago

How do I install themes in Miranda IM Portable v0.8.8 ?

I created the folder ...\Apps\miranda\Skins and put it to download the theme, but in options - customize i can't find "skins" for change.

I have a suggested change for the Pidgin Portable installer. Can the installer be modified not to remove non-pidgin related assemblies? The Facebook plug-in requires libjson-glib-1.0.dll which gets removed during the upgrade process.

When exitting FileZillaPortable 3.2.8.1 (and older versions) it does not shut down properly (keeps running as it can be seen in the Task Manager), which prevents the user from "securely removing the device", unless the process is manually terminated via the Task Manager or similar programs.

I request developers that it should have two more features
1}have feature to log in http://iptel.org sip account with soft-phone sip dialer.
2}it should work on various type of mobile handsets.

If anyone has version 3 of the Lazybums plugin for Pidgin it would be greatly appreciated if you could e-mail me a copy.
