Miranda: 0.7.1.19 is out.
I was waiting for .18 to get rid of the 'old version' warning, but apparently that was fixed elsewhere - at least I have not been getting it recently. Still, .19 is out, I hope it gets ported
Best regards,
Rich

Anyone else finding that pidgin portable crashes more and more with each update?
I don't think I can go through a 24 hour period without pidgin crashing...
Is anyone interested in resolving this?
What are the steps to take to get this resolved?
If nobody is interested or there are no steps, it's likely that I'm going to exchange pidgin for something else, such as miranda, and that would be a shame.
I hear good things about Empathy, shame it's linux only.
I went to Pidgin's settings directory and created a .fonts directory to put the fonts in, but the font didn't appear in Tools->Preferences->Conversations->Conversation Font.
I've also tried moving GTK to \PortableApps\CommonFiles\GTK and I edited GTK\etc\fonts\fonts.conf to add this line:
<dir>/PortableApps/CommonFiles/GTK/share/fonts</dir>
I have been using normal miranda in "portable mode" for ever.
I just download the ZIP, uncompress, and there i go.
What is the difference with using this version?
Apparantly, I can't run multiple instances of Miranda Portable.
This is strange, because I googled it, and I found someone had posted a "bug" on miranda dev and it was marked as solved because according to the developers, there isn't any check so that should work.
So I'm guessing the problem is with the MIM portable launcher...?
Also, what does MIM actually do that's not portable, warranting the use of a launcher?
I'm wondering if Miranda deletes messages stored in the history after some time.
Specifically, I remember seeing an option that said something like "remove old messages after x lines" or after x months or I don't know anymore because I can't find it anymore...
It was without any special plugins at all, since I only installed a handfull of plugins recently (I like the basic setup).
Days ago I discovered portable putty...
The first problem I found was that I didn't have de psftp on the portable edition... So I just copied de .exe from my NON portable version of putty...
Firstly I thought it wouldn't work, but when I went to another PC that didn't have puttys intalled, and I start putty portable edition (just turn on, without login in any session) and start as well the psftp (copied from my PC .exe) an then typed open "my connection"
(where my connection is the name of my current connection prevously saved on putty portable edition) and IT WORKED!
ok, on my system, when I use IM, the contact is in bright red and very distinctive.
I believe this bug is purely with the portable version not the normal filezilla 3.2.3.1. When initially installed the directory name is INSTALL_PATH\FileZillaPortable and everything appears to work fine. If you rename FileZillaPortable to something even as simple as FileZillaPortable2 the program will not connect to ftp sites.
If a dns is used to connect to the ftp site you get this error:
Status: Resolving address of ftp.XXX.com
Status: Connection attempt failed with "EAI_NONAME - Neither nodename nor servname provided, or not known".
Error: Could not connect to server
I am trying to find an add-on that gives me the current version number of PortableFilezilla in the title bar - like I can in PortableFirefox and PortableThunderbird. Add-ons for PortableFilezilla are hard to find, so any help would be appreciated.
