Internet Apps Support

There were a couple of quick updates to Miranda - .15, .16 and .17. I noticed that .15 portable was set up a few days after the .15 application was released. I don't think there were earth-shattering changes, just said windows compatibility IIRC. But I have this general question... who does the ports to portable apps? Any user that feels like it and is capable of generating the .paf.exe?

1) How good is its MySpace support?
2) Is there a Paltalk plugin?
3) What's meant by Pidgin being so much easier to use - what's wrong with Miranda IM exactly?
4) Does anyone actually read summaries? o_ô

Would be nice if the icon showed some kind of indication if you're online in at least one protocol.

I really like FileZilla for its small size, portability and ease to use. But a lot of times I'm forced to abandon it because of it's poor queue handling.

Each time I get on MSN, i get [dang] bots spamming me.

So what I do, i add them and block them.

THEN, each time I sign in after a restart or a crash (access memory violation, happens EVERY VERSION OF PIDGIN), i get SPAMMED with hundreds of windows... the message is something like...

"This buddy is in your local list but not server list"

and

"Too many friendly name changes"

I don't know if this issue is caused by the portable version but it's been twice that happens to me. I am using version V3.2.0, windows XP SP3.

I downloaded two large files from different sites. One is near 293 Mb and the other 1.5 Gb. In both cases, filezilla didn't stop downloading the files, it simple kept downloading the files so I had to cancel the process as they were becoming too large, almost as twice as their original size, the advance percentage was greater than 100%.

Under normal circumstances, when do we see updates to portable when there is an update from the developer?

VMS files have the version number.
e.g. READTEXT.TXT;1
COMFTEXT.TXT;1

When I FTP to windows, it will create files READTEXT.TXT.1 & COMFTEXT.TXT.1
As as result, it is difficult to open it using normal program (before rename them 1 by 1).

How to set it to name it just READTEXT.TXT without the version number ?

Any setting to be done ?

Is anyone else having trouble connecting to gtalk after this latest update? The previous version of Miranda Portable was working fine yesterday, but I just upgraded to the most recent update today, and Gtalk can't connect. I just get that animated "connecting" icon and nothing ever happens.

Hi to all.

I want to change the font in the Pidgin buddy list, and I know I can achieve this modifying the gtkrc file.

However, I don't know the correct values for the font property. The default is "Sans 8", if I change the size (8) there is no problem, the size of the font changes.

If I change "Sans" for "Verdana" I see the font of the buddy list changes.

However, if I put "Tahoma", "Trebuchet MS" or "Times" it looks as if I put the default of "Sans 8".
