Internet Apps Support

Hi all,

I used pidgin beta before, which had the buddy icon in conversation on the left of the typing field. Now it is (very small) in the upper right corner of my conversation window. I was wondering if this is due to a change in pidgin itself, or is it something I can modify?

When try to open a link or read emails from Pidgin, it is opening them in IE, is it possible to make it always use Firefox Portable ?

I just installed Pidgin Portable 2.1 and, when attempting to drag groups to reorganize them, I discovered that it couldn't be done. AFAIK I can do this in normal Pidgin just fine.

Just installed Pidgin Portable in place of the old gaim package. When I downloaded and tried to install guifications 2.14 it errors during setup with the following dialog:

Unable to determine installed Pidgin version.

Anyone else seeing this? Any known workarounds?

On my USB flash drive, I have the directory structure set like so:

/
    - PortableApps/
        - FirefoxPortable/
        - PidginPortable/
        - FirefoxPortable.exe (not a shortcut)
        - PidginPortable.exe (also not a shortcut)

In the above sample, I can double-click on FirefoxPortable.exe (outside of the Firefox Portable directory) and it will run.

I'm trying to use FileZilla to FTP to/from my workplace. It requires connection via SFTP using SSH2. Contact is completed easily using PuTTY and WinSCP. But I get a "Unable to Connect" error message with FileZilla. (Yes, I have set SSH2 in Server type.)
Host, user, password, port are all set identically.
Any ideas?

I load pidgin in High resolution monitor and set position of IM window but when i load Pidgin in low resolution it will out of window, I think it was load position relatives.

I was wondering if anyone has found an XFire plugin for Pidgin Portable that works.

I've already visited this site: http://www.fryx.ch/xfire/ and tried to install that one for Gaim, but didn't have any luck. Anyone got any tips or links that could help me out?

I have a problem with pidgin whereby it won't start via the portable apps menu:

Throws : error loading pidgin.dll error (1114) a dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed

So I go into the apps directory and start it manually and it runs happily.

When I resume the computer from sleep, it always crashes.

Running (unfortunately for me) Vista Home Preumium (it's totally rubbish!) 32bit
on
Acer Aspire 9300 laptop with 2gb ram

In the actual application, and the unofficial versions before this one was released, I was able to hit the X in the top right corner, and the app would reduce down to the notification area, much in the same way that the genuine MSN does.

Now when I hit X in the corner, it closes the App. It's so annoying, is there anything you or I can do to make it reduce to the notification area.
