In the absence of a specific Sigil forum I'll post this here --- feel free to move it if it's inappropriate here.

I have v0.9.3 installed and runningOK under Win7 64b - but when I install ANY plugin they refuse to run.

eg "Flightcrew" when run against a valid ePub (that validates OK with the built in validation tool) reports an initial error of
"Error Parsing Result XML: Premature end of document".

When I click on the "Details" button I get "Fatal Python error: unable to load the file system codec. ImportError: No module named 'encodings'".

From version 3.0

"replaced non-free UnRAR with a free RAR extraction library. If some CBR files fail to open for you, download unrar.dll from http://www.rarlab.com/rar_add.htm and place it alongside SumatraPDF.exe"

The portable apps doesn't have the option to install unrar.dll from rarlabs.com.

Sumatra's latest version is 3.0 which I can't find on PortableApps' site.

If I use the "snap" feature in Windows to put Abiword to one side of the screen, it doesn't keep that position after I open Abiword the next time.
It saves all other positions, however.

EDIT: Same with the non-portable version, I made a bug report there.

Hi,

I just downloaded SunBird and extracted on XP (Virtual PC 2007) machine. When I try to run it, I get the splash screen for a moment and then nothing. If I check in task manager, I see the executable running for a second or so.

If I copy the folder to the host machine (Vista 64 bit) then it runs.

Is there something I can try / debug to check what is wrong or has someone else ever had this problem?

The program works fairly well, but I tried to move it to another computer by copying all the program directories and once there I had the disagreable surprise that it was empty, no data, no information, was shown and I lost all the information.

What did I made wrong, which file should I have taken with me to the new computer?

My computer was being really weird so I decided to restart and didn't shut Stickies down first. Now it won't open. When I click on the icon in the Platform, StickiesPortable.exe shows up in Task Manager and then disappears again.

I've tried installing a new copy of Stickies and that also won't run. I copied the entire original folder to another computer and tried it there; it works fine.

I'm glad I read Kowalczyk's blog on this version history. The latest CPUs support SSE2 instructions, so I'll stick with 2.3. You might want to also.
