[Fixed] Calibre Library folder

Submitted by danblake on April 27, 2018 - 12:13pm

Hello,

1st post at PortableApps.com but been using it for years.

I just added the Official PortableApps Calibre app. On the first run it asked me where to create the Calibre Library folder with the suggestion being C:\Users\admin\Calibre Library. This obviously would not make the library portable. Where should the Calibre Library folder be created for the Official PortableApps Calibre app and what syntax should be used?

Thanks for the help and fantastic software.

[Fixed] GnuCash report data directory being saved locally

Submitted by DanRe on February 24, 2018 - 5:44pm

GnuCash portable 2.6.19, is saving some data on the local computer in the operating system determined user directory, no matter what I do. It is expected that data will be saved in '[GnuCashPortable]\Data', but instead data is being saved in 'C:\Users\[User]\.gnucash'.

This breaks portability, because this is where Customized Reports are saved. (I'm sure that other things are saved here as well.)

[Fixed] Calibre settings change leaves registry entries

Submitted by Drazick on February 10, 2018 - 7:49pm

Hello,

It seems there are issues with the official release of Calibre.
On my System (Windows 10 64 Bit) it leaves traces behind and the system thinks it is installed application.

Could you please fix it so it won't leave traces?

Thank You.

Transferring previous portable version of Calibre to portableapps

I've been using the portable version of calibre from their website. I basically put it into the portableapps folder with all the other standard portable apps. Is there a way to "sync/transfer" this with the new portableapps version so that all version upgrades will be managed by portableapps from now on? I don't want to lose all my settings, plugins, list of ebooks, etc. Thanks.
