I'm experiencing a strange problem with GNUcash as follows:
When trying to launch the program from the portableapps menu via the usual single left click, nothing happens. I then found that using a right click and 'Run as administrator' launches the program just fine. However, sometimes, a single left click will still work.
So far, I haven't been able to establish a pattern of when the left click does/doesn't work. It seems to be random.

Hi, It's been a long time since my last post here but I'm still an active PApps user.
Question is as follows, I have a Calibre Portable installation in a USB drive wihtout anything else. Just the App and the library with dafault settings. This app is storing 1000 PDFs which are scientific papers about a specific subject. The intention is to allow colleagues to copy the USB drive so they can have the collection with them. I renamed the CalibrePortable.exe to something like ScientificJournals.exe and that's the only think I changed in that USB.

anyone else having issue updating zoomit? it's been this way for a couple weeks...

updating via portableapps updater just gives 'the downloaded copy of Zoomit is not valid and can not be installed'. try again later...

All other apps updated ok.

I'm having two issues
1) the FileOpen plugin is no longer working on the portable install (recently updated to version 9.7.0.29430)
2) there is a new FoxIt 9.7 version and I'm curious if my item above is because the plugin updated and is no longer compatible . In the plugins page, file open is not certified or loaded (no check marks, just a red circle with a diagonal line). cannot find a ZIP file to test and see if this is the issue.

I shift my PortableApps between four computers: two Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit machines at work and a Windows 10 Home 64-bit and a 32-bit laptop at home, and I've found that since (I think) the last platform update, FocusWriter is saving some settings data locally and some on the portable drive. As far as I can tell, daily goals and sessions are being saved in C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Local\GottCode\FocusWriter, while the primary settings file and themes are being saved in E:\PortableApps\FocusWriter\Data where they belong.

I’m probably using FocusWriter contrary to intended design but I’ve had real trouble with FW retaining my settings across multiple computers through a portableapps install synced across multiple devices with Google Backup and sync. I use portableapps + google drive to get around overly restrictive software security settings at my university and I often prefer to use FW to draft before pumping into a CMS or word processing software.

First, thank you for adding Calibre to Portableapps, I think it's a great addition.

As Calibre is a relatively new addition, I had installed the official "Calibre portable" version from their website and put it into the Portableapps directory. It shows up as a regular app and works well. However, I have to manually update it by downloading the portable version and then installing each time there is a new version out (which is very frequent with this program). I would like to just run the portableapps version but I don't want to lose all the settings, plugins, etc..

I looks like calibre is out of date again. (3.38 vs 3.40.1).

I am willing to help keep this updated if that would be helpful. Would this be as simple as updating the binaries with the newest versions, updating the ini files for versions and re-running the installer to build the package?

Is there anything else I should know?
