horrible upgrade

Submitted by userman on May 7, 2016 - 6:41pm

hello!

I just upgraded and everything seems magnified and some login data that is autocompleted in some pages is lost
plus I cannot open links from thunderbird and in the address bar it doesn't always show the current url, but a previous one!

horrible!!!
is the portable team responsible for that or mozilla?

Custom version of portable Firefox (Windows, Mac OSX)

Submitted by Tom-Arn_Identitas on April 7, 2016 - 11:11am

Hello everybody

The company I work for (Identitas AG, www.identitas.ch) has a very large Silverlight Browser Application which is used by about 60‘000 users.
By 01.01.2017 all major browsers (except Internet Explorer) will not support the Silverlight plugin anymore.
That’s why we are migrating our application away from Silverlight, but we will not be able to finish this task in time.

Can't get Java working - either installed in the system, or through jPortable

I'm running Firefox Portable x64. I need Java support. While Java (both 32 and 64 bit) are installed on the machine in question, my understanding is that Firefox Portable requires jPortable.

I understand that 32-bit plugins won't work in a 64-bit browser. However, since jPortable is available in a 64 bit version, I'm assuming that Firefox Portable x64 should be able to work with it - but I'm not having any luck so far.

What am I doing wrong?

Firefox Downloads from Sourceforge Failing

For the past several months, downloads of Firefox portable routinely fail, or take excruciatingly long to download. This occurs in either the 'automatic' update within the Portableapps platform, or if I try to download the paf.exe file directly from Sourceforge. I only seem to have this issue with the Mozilla portable apps, Firefox and/or Thunderbird. I have no issues with any other portable apps I use. Other large downloads, such as Chrome, are quick and error free. Is this a Sourceforge issue?
