Firefox 3.5

I've never used portable app before, so have a couple newbie questions. First, I'm wanting to run Firefox 3.5 as portable. Do I have to put it on a flash drive, or will a CD/DVD work? How do add-ons figure in...will these be downloaded into the same flash drive, or CD/DVD....or is it handled different? Lastly, I'd like to know everything I can about portable apps. Any links to tutorials or other in-depth sources of info? Thanks!

Since 42 or 43 version Firefox Portable do not work with "IBM Security Trusteer Rapport".

But if you run the program ...\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox\firefox.exe Trusteer Rapport work good with Firefox.

...\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox64\firefox.exe - x64 do not work.

Is a way to fix problem with Firefox Portable?

When Firefox Starts startup setting not honored

Hi,
I am facing an inconvenience that I can't quite understand. I'm doing freelance job on a client's premises and using a computer that they assigned to me for the time that I'm spending there.

Since they have their rules regarding software installation, I can't install much and consequently, I can't upgrade their old version of FF, old enough to not have Sync^^. However, I could copy Firefox portable to a folder on the disk and run it from there.

Making x64 only Firefox

Dear John. T. Haller,

Do you think releasing only 64-bit version of Firefox? Like Google Chrome x64.

Copying all files from 64-bit folder to Firefox folder, than deleting 64-bit folder is it ok? will it crash or cause any problem?

I'll never need 32-bit version, and I want to make things more regular.

Regards.

I have no idea what is happening the last 2 versions of firefox (portable) some sites I will go too i will get this application/octet-stream with attachment to download.
ex: linkedin.ca or .com keep popping up.
I dont know what to do with this.
And some other sites it just freeze. I install a fresh portable firefox with NO add-0ns and still having same issues.
