Hi Everyone,

I travel frequently and change the time zone within Windows 7 on my laptop. I have had a complaint that my time displayed to other Skype users is incorrect. It seems to always display a time of West-Coast USA even though the Windows 7 time zone is set to the East-Coast or Europe.

Note, I believe that my time is only shown incorrectly with the portable version of Skype (www.portableapps.com).

There have been some people out there complaining about it ... I think it is easily reproducible. Let's see what y'all say.

Do the following on Windows 7:

Will not fire up for me.. installed

Hi All,
First of all I want to give thanks to all those who have made these amazing applications possible! I've been using them for years at work, where we would otherwise be forced to use IE and paint, among other useless programs.

Here is the issue. We were recently upgraded from XP x86 to Win7 x64. My Portable Apps no longer work. When launching Firefox, Chrome, Gimp, or Google Earth, they fail to open and I get the message:

"Program X has stopped working.

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program."

Hello, I'm using Iron, Portable passwords works great.
But I have a few questions:

1) how to transfer log-ins, passes, settings, bookmarks, extensions (with their settings) from one Iron portable app folder to another Iron portable app\Install version?
by the way, this is necessary if something happen with Iron, for example a fatal crash, crash File System of the usb-stick, or anything else.

in other words - which files\folders I have to copy from the Iron app directory?

excuse me for my little english (I'm Italian).
About my little english, i like to know a clear procedure for submit my software on portables app directory.
Some time ago I submitted my "realmeteo portable" in beta test forum.
Next I have fixed all bug, and I'm ready to, but have some doubt: what have to do now? Only wait, or ask something to somebody?
Now my app is available for test on http://www.realmeteo.com/public/RealMeteoPortable_5.5.paf.exe

I have a mp3 player that I want to use now so I downloaded and loaded Songbird.

The program loads the splash image but nothing else happens. CPU usage 00. I first tried the Portable version from here (Pa.c) and then I tried the full version from http://getsongbird.com/ . But neither work. It just doesn't seem to run on my Windows 7 64-bit computer. Is this just me or is this a common problem?

I have extremely limited permissions on the computer(s) that I have access to. Is there a portable diagram/UML tool that doesn't make changes to the host computer's registry?
