I bow out. . .

I use the internet at school, but I am not at school until the summer semester starts. Thus, my problem is finding a secure connection. So . . . as the title states, I'm bowing out for awhile.

I must apologize for bowing out. I feel that as a developer, I should have a constant connection to the net. Which was my college. I intend to get a internet browser installed to my phone, but it frequently times out. So, as soon as I do this, I will monitor, but will probably not making many responses. Any PNotes issues will get a response, as well as something that is directly aimed at me.

This is NOT a request. I simply thought that I would inform you about this app because it is portable and is a very nice program. I use it and am very happy with it. Here's a little more info:

AIMP is a freeware audio player. With a somewhat Winamp-like appearance, it is skinnable and supports many audio file types, such as flac, mp3, mp2, mp1, wav, ogg, wma, cda, mtm, mod, xm, it, umx, aif, s3m, mo3, etc.

Among its distinctive features are the ability to capture streaming content (internet radio), a tabbed playlist, and an integrated audio converter.

Portable application and restart

Submitted by Qushaak on May 15, 2008 - 4:58pm

Hello!

I'm new, so be patient if I ask something stupid. So I want to make one application portable, but the problem starts, when this application requests restart of computer. I get a message that the path is not found and therefore restart of computer is not performed. How can I solve this problem? Please, write in detail or paste a link. Thank you.

I'm putting up a thread so we can discuss the apps to include in the next release of the PortableApps.com Suite. It's the same as the old thread with some modifications. All versions include what will be referred to as the PortableApps.com Platform (menu, backup, custom icons, autorun). The Standard package currently includes:

Loose information, Portable Apps doesnt run

Submitted by IsmaelLopez on May 14, 2008 - 9:04pm

One day my portable apps just stop working and I dont want to loose my thunderbird information (Email and address).

I made an autorun for the Apps like this,
___________________
[AutoRun]
Open= Administrador\StartPortableApps.exe
Action=Run PortableApps
Icon= Administrador\StartPortableApps.exe
Label=PortableApps
___________________

I dont think that this is the reason for the failure.

Now I open the Folder that contains the programs but not any program works, they even dont show the icons eather the extensions.
