A restore calendar and the number of backups to keep are good ideas that were suggested for PortableApps.com Backup but could easily apply as feature requests for Toucan.

Can Toucan be used to create a system recovery discs and or Data back up discs?

I encrypted a few files last week using Toucan 2. This week I can't descrypt them. I go to decrypt. It asks for the password twice. I am quite sure I have remembered the password correctly. It is one I have used before many times and have a simple method to remember it (letters form 2 words jumbled together). It just says decrypt failed in the log.

Any ideas?

Can you add a feature to do Incremental backups? I just recently ran out of space on my book drive, and it would of been nice to have incremental backups to save space.

I want know if i can run Toucan that is installed on my pc as service, without bootsplash.. that only do an mirror copy with 2 hd..

If someone can help me with the variables.. i will be too happy

Hi,

IMHO it is very complicated to exclude a folder! Why is it impossible to deselect subfolders after selecting the main folder on the right side of the backup-windows.

And: When i click "preview" EVERY subfolder turned red, although there are no rules activated :(.

Otherwise a great program :D!

recently I installed the 2.0 release, but finally I came back to the release 1.2.2
WHY? I found very bad the preview window of the files destined to be synchronized.
BECAUSE, to have an idea of the changes it is necessary to open one by one the subdirectories. It would be better to have the possibility to expand all the subdirectories by one click and still better to have the possibility to see only the files interested in changes.

I am looking for the version before 2.0. Where can i find it?

I would need some assistance regarding the creation of a "Secure" job, and how to set-up the variables on the file path of each entries I am adding into that job.

Here is the details of what I am trying to achieve
- Encrypt/Decrypt specific files in the Mozilla Firefox profile (keyb3.db, signons3.txt, etc)
- Encrypt/Decrypt the accounts.xml file in the Pidgin user data

To shorten the steps, I'll only take care of entering the accounts.xml file (which is already encrypted).

It's likely that i've found a little bug. I can't exclude a folder that is named "2000_Thinking in C++ Vol1" if the "++" were removed it will work. Are you able to reproduce that behaviour?
