Como podré Convertir Foto Banco y Negro a Foto en Color con Gimp?

Si alguien seria tan amable de explicarme, o darme la dirección de algun Tutorial, le quedaria muy agradecido

I use ClamWin Portable, and it says this about portable Gimp.

False positive? If so, how can I be sure?

I installed over 2.6.6 and had a problem where EVERY plugin 'stopped working' (had to kill the GIMP tree with process explorer...)

I then deleted the whole GIMP folder, and re-installed...

Now only script-fu crashes...but the window still opens.
If I try to start it (right click -->script fu...) then it warns me about the failure and tells me to restart it.

2 re-installs have not solved the problem...

Any ideas?

After upgrading to 2.6.7 Rev 2, Gimp did not recognize a PNG file. I went to the menu File > Open, expanded Select File Type, and the only type available was XCF. Reinstalling 2.6.7 restored all other file formats.

By default, GIMP saves all new files to X:\PortableApps\GIMPPortable\App\gimp\bin.
If you save a file to a different location, GIMP will remember that, but only for that session; if you close GIMP, and then re-open it, it will once again save all new files to X:\PortableApps\GIMPPortable\App\gimp\bin.

Not an awful problem, EXCEPT:
When you update GIMP Portable, it blows away the bin folder, and any files you accidentally saved there are lost forever.

I lost a number of files when I just upgraded to 2.6.7.

Hi all !
I'm new on this forum and I have one question.
I have installed Gimp Portable 2.6.6 and the 2 plugins "Background Windows" and "Photoshop Layout".
The second one is well working but the first one seems to do nothing: when I open two pictures, I have to tabs in the Windows taskbar...
Is there any other thing to do after the plugin installation ?

Since the 2.6.6 update I've started getting the above folder in my C:\Documents and Settings\username directory. On XP. I've never noticed this before. Anybody else?

I'm using GIMP Portable 2.6.6 on Windows Vista (Chinese version), I noticed there is a strange character at the bottom of window (Please see the screenshot at the below). It doesn't cause any function loss but it is somewhat annoying. (I didn't install additional locales and I'm using LANG=en_US)

I managed to install the develope-engine for the raw-files, quite the same as the How-to described it a little earlier in the (closed) topic in this forum. Rather slowly, it seems it can do all the expected.

However, a question: Although exposed in Adobe RGB the colour-scheme is sRGB, and it is exported as 8-bit only, I can not use any 16-bit-image-format, so after all the result is weaker than the camera-jpg.
Is that the status or did I miss something ?

In Windows, It appears this GEGL Tool causes GimpPortable to crash....It also crashes Gimp 2.2.6...G'MIC seemed to work in GP but not Gimp

After reloading both to 2.6.5 GimpPortable still crashes using GEGL...while Gimp is just fine....
