Firefox Portable

It's not a question but an issue to do it because I need it and I wasn't able to found how to do. Perhaps it would be helpfull for someone else.

To change the Firefox Portable icon, you need a .ICO file, rename it into main-window.ico then put it into the path \FirefoxPortable\App\firefox\chrome\icons\default if they not exist, create all missed folders.

I've been having a problem adding extensions. I get the -203 unexplained error at the end of each .xpi download. I've tried removing PFF, reinstalling and the same thing happens. I've tried it with regular FF and the same thing is happening. I know it's not incompatability with the extensions since my laptop has the same ones I'm trying to load and runs fine.

I just let the firefox auto-update install version 2.0.0.14 and all of a sudden, firefox could not find any servers, including, but not limited to, mozilla.com and portableapps.com. I tried re-installing it by downloading the newest installer and it still doesn't work. I originally downloaded version 2.0.0.11 and it worked fine. Version 2.0.0.12 and 2.0.0.13 worked fine too, and they were installed by the firefox auto-update.

How can i make portable firefox as the default internet browser for my system ?

Im having problems loading the media player extension for firefox onto the porable app. Everytime i try to load it it just seems to pull up the full version that i have on the computer. When i try "Get extensions" in the add-ons menu, there doesnt seem to be a windows media player extension on the website. Im also having the same problems loading extensions to most of my other programs too. Is there some universal fix?

Hi, i currently can work with two internet connections: one via LAN and one via WiFi. I would like Firefox to work with the WiFi one without being constrained to disconnect the intranet cable in order to make it choose for that one. Thanks

Trying to run Firefox Portable 2.0.0.14 from my USB drive. Splash screen displays then goes away - no Firefox!

Can't seem to find any error logs to help figure out why it's not running.

Running Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2.

Installed to hard drive and then copied folder to USB drive and it worked. Not sure why, not sure I care.

I am getting a band in the bottom of my screen containing red text occassionally. Anyone know hy it is there? Can I change the view or what?

Though I haven't posted here before, I've been using (and recommending) the portable-apps for the last year or even a bit longer.

I am also testing the Beta 5 of Firefox 3 and I found a little bug with the "FlashGot" extension that appeared when FlashGot was updated a few weeks back.
Since then each time you open Firefox in the directory above Firefox Portable a new subdirectory is created (for example in the root of the USB-drive).
