U3 Apps (Discontinued)

I know this doesn't have to do with Portable Apps. But ever since I updated U3 it has had a new skin. Would anyone happen to know how to revert it back to the original blue skin. The new skin is sort of bland and ugly to me and I think it was a bad move but thats my opinion.

Also does anyone know if you remove the U3 software from the cd emulator. Is it possible to reinstall it? Since I want to try to install a new autorun launcher but I don't want to try it if I can't get U3 back.

I imported Firefox 1.5.0.6 for the U3 platform based on the Firefox 1.5.0.43 for U3 by John T. Haller and would like to share it with the PortableApps.com community.

Does U3 have another method of entering ones password without entering it via the keyboard? The threat of keyloggers makes using a keyboard to enter ones master password a risky venture. I would hope that they have a GUI where one could "click-enter" their password in order to fool the keylogger threat. Thanks.

P.S. I realize that one could change ones password after use on a compromised system, but I keep forgetting all the new passwords I create

I recently purchased a cruzer micro 2gb usb drive that includes the sandisk utility U3. I like the utility but I'm having a problem. I installed FF to it and it runs fine, but I can't get flashplayer to install to it, I've tried half a dozen times to install flashplayer from this very site as they say you can for U3, but I keep getting a download error.

First, is anyone else having this problem?

Second, how did you remidy it (if you were able to).

I downloaded the u3 firefox and let it apply patches and used it for two days.
Just a few minutes ago, it announced that it had downloaded the 1.5 version and wanted to update. I let it do so and then immediately fired it up and did the check update. Then it went through the update process to 1.5.0.6 What is going on?

P.S. I prefer regular portable applications but I feel constrained to use a U3 drives because of the issues of compatability.

Issue: Date received is incorrect for a few emails

Configuration: mailserver is comcast.net / POP, 2GB Cruzer Titanium U3

Details: For a few emails, the date received that thunderbird U3 is reporting is incorrect. I had a few emails from 2005 that are showing up as received today??? I got an email yesterday that had the previous day's date on it. What's going on????

When I check the same email through the service provider's webmail it shows the correct date. Outlook shows the correct date. Why is PTB U3 messing up the date received??

I have been comparing FFP 1.5.0.6 to the U3 ver. 1.5.0.6 (updated from John's 1.5.0.4 U3)

It seem boot time on the plain FFP is twice as long as the U3 version. Both have the same profiles (I coppied them over to FFP).

Any reason?

Is the U3 version slimmer or use memory better?

I just found the Pegtop version of PStart for U3 and wanted to use the FFP withou the U3 if it was faster.

the visited links in firefox for U3 don't get the colors defined - they're always as never visited. is this a known problem, or is there something wrong with my installation. i even deactivated every plugin, but to no use.

*) firefox for U3 1.5.0.43
*) firefox 1.5.0.6
*) Hama USB-Stick 2GB U3

options:

"let the site decide the colors" or "use defined colors above" - nothing works.
