Hey, is there any way to have PAP open automatically when the USB is inserted? I know that Windows XP asked if you wanted to open up the program, but my Windows 7 Pro has no such option, its reading my USB as a music device instead. Can I fix this maybe by changing something in one of the .ini files?
I have a number of machines under my bench, but (for reasons of space) normally only one screen, keyboard, and mouse on the main system ... then I VNC into the machine I want to maintain.
I needed to run a tool from my trusty PortableApps USB stick, so I plugged the stick into the machine of interest, then VNC'ed into it.
Click on the icon in the task bar - it didnt "pop-up"! Consistently!
Plug a "real" screen into that machine and click on the icon via VNC and it is visible on the real screen but not on the VNC session.
Will be (except the category folders) also the ability to move the items Up and Down in the main Window (with the present sort by name and Favorites).
Perhaps in 2.0 Ver.

USB drives are excellent for storing data. Their small size allows them to take data on the go. USB's are small, inexpensive and can store massive amounts of files. But one of the disadvantages to USB's are the fact that they are small. They are lost or stolen easily. Data on USB's can fall into the wrong hands. Sensitive data like passwords can be lost, only to give a stranger the access to your accounts.
I just installed portableapps onto a flash drive.
I can't find the above missing file.
I checked Mcafee security and it reported no errors with my flash drive.
Should this file be on my flash drive?
Thanks,
John

Today morning I would start PortableApps, but McAfee VirusScan reported virus alert at the PortableAppsPlatform.exe.
Name: F:\PortableApps\PortableApps.com\PortableAppsPlatform.exe
Virus: Artemis!0E1A49A03054
McAffee deleted the file.
McAffee DAT-Version: 5917.0000
Afer loading the new installation package from portableapps.com and reinstallation, I got the same problem after the installtion process.
Update:
I'm new to PortableApps Suite, I've been looking for a portable applications solution, and I had tried LiberKey, Pstart, tiny USB office, Lupo PenSuite, and WinPenPack already.
PortableApps seems to be the most up2dated one, but there's an advantage from WinPenPack I would like PortableApps to have. File association.
Can I use the appinfo.ini to append commandline arguments to an exe?
