When do you plan to release the next version? (Toucan 1.2)
Hi Steve,
According to many posts, you seems to fix a lot of issues in the next release of Toucan. Could you please tell me when do you plan to release that version?
Thanks...

Woot first post!
I have been waiting for an app like Tucan as I have been using Portableapps for over a year on all my PCs and USB. Other than once having a PDA that automatically did the sync'ing, I have never used sync software and even the brief help section on the app is not enough for me. I did a google search too, but can not find a web page that will give me step by step explanations on how to use it and what it can do. I am not even sure if it only sync up files or will go as far as sync'ing bookmarks which would actually be altering a file. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi,
thanks for this great Program. Is it possible to integrate a Silent Switch, perhaps Command Line only. I will use Toucan to equalise 2 Foldersets with Batch File, but after the Job Ends, a Continue Dialog comes up with carry out. How can i disable this, to run my Jobs in a silent mode with no User Interactions? Thanks for any Help.
Toucan is a nice app, but the sync function doesn't seems to work properly. I have a folder with many files on my local drive. I have made a mirror to my usb key, and everything was correct. When I click on "mirror" few seconds later, all the files are ready to be copied again to my usb key (I have checked "retain attributes"), but all the files are identical so they should not be updated (mirror). I tried with "update" function, and no file was displayed (which is correct).
Toucan-> Sync- Copy
If a user sets the Source path = destination path, Toucan will delete the files.
Error: Failed to modify times for C:\*path*\*file* (error 2: the system cannot find the file specified.)
I use Mirror and it simply outputs:
Starting... Finished...
However, I know the folders aren't the same. Even if they were, Toucan should still do something, otherwise I'd use Update.
Also, checking the Preview box overrides the Function set. i.e. If I set it to Update and tick Preview, it will use Copy instead.
One last problem. When updating, if you click Abort, it will display an error saying that it couldn't read or write the file times of the files that it didn't get up to.
what is the difference between update and incremental backup in Toucan???

I have posted a few questions for Toucan users here and would be most grateful if you could reply.

I like Toucan and I am starting to migrate away from what I've been using... Microsoft SyncToy. SyncToy has worked very well for the year or so that I've been using it and I would like to suggest that it be reviewed for useful features. Just a few that I think would be very helpful are:
* option for checking file contents just in case size, date and time are same
* option to have overwritten files sent to Recycle Bin
* option to run all syncronization sets (or subsets) at one time
* review of the "sync" modes and clarification about deletions and renamed files
