Toucan's Rioting on me

Submitted by interlider on October 24, 2007 - 11:25am

My Toucan doesn't want to work.

I encrypted some data and now it doesn't want to decrypt it. What is worse, I _need_ this data.

I tried in both Win XP and Win 2k, and still can't make Toucan decrypt the file, and all i see when I open is a laaarge source which, of course, is my file encrypted.

IF ANYONE IS WILLING TO HELP ME, PLEASE POST YOUR E-MAIL OR SEND ME AN ECHO-MAIL TO:
intergonzalo @ gmail . com

Then I can send the file and you can try to decode it. I'll send the pw as well, of course.

EDIT: I reinstalled the program. The file is Excel.

extension-only files don't get excluded

Submitted by teknocide on October 16, 2007 - 8:54am

Sorry if the subject is a little confusing, here is my problem;

In my source directory is a lot of hidden files. I don't want to synchronize these files to my USB drive. The files basically consist of an extension only (".bashrc" is a good example)

I have specified ".bashrc" in the exclusion box, but the file is still copied. There's quite a lot of these files in the main directory, and removing them is not an option.

I hope you can enlighten me on the matter Smile

Shutdown computer after synchronizing/backup?

Submitted by LuP on October 15, 2007 - 5:03am

Hello,

an idea - would it be possible to provide Toucan with a check box "Shutdown computer" which would shutdown the computer when backup or synchronization is finished?

- As I suppose run Toucan at the end of work and as this operation may last a longer time, the check box may be useful...

Thanks,

LuP

Linux equivalent for Toucan?

Submitted by r0bis on October 11, 2007 - 10:32am

Hello guys. Maybe this is not the right forum and I need to go to development.

Anyways - I benefit greatly from running java apps (e.g. freemind) from memory stick on Windows and Linux. Toucan is very good for easy encryption of files. However I would like to be able to decrypt files on a linux box (why rebot to windows just to run decryption ).

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Many thanks.

Toucan version available

Submitted by lolo73 on October 9, 2007 - 3:10pm

Hello,

I'm starting using PortableApps since a few months. But, when I log on the Portableapps website, the last update available is from august, and Toucan version is 1.1 (from 1st of August). I saw on the blog that V1.2 exists. Where to find it?
Thanks a lot in advance,

Laurent.

Timestamps of activities?

Submitted by kenrob on September 30, 2007 - 1:29am

G'day,
I'm using 1.1.2 and I really like it.

Any chance that you could add date/timestamps to the progress window & Output.txt?

E.g. Starting... 20070930 15:04:57
Finished... 20070930 15:09:21

Also, with datestamps in place, could command line jobs then append to Output.txt instead of overwriting?
