Profile don't work right after upgrade to 2.0.0.9

Submitted by Franz49 on December 8, 2007 - 7:19am

Hi anyone!
I upgraded my previous version to the last.
Now all my settings are away, including my mails. The Folder I still see, but there are no mails into - I checked also the .js files, I can't understand few of the entrys.
If I check by Explorer, I can find my mail and setting files but Thunderbird dont use they. Can anyone give me informations about the right structure where the different setting and mailfiles must be located? What kind of system is used to setup the right paths and settings, there exists more .ini files - I don't know the right one.

Hi

I upgraded Thunderbird from 1.5 to 2.0.0.9 yesterday, and have noticed two problems with it. Firstly there is no scroll bar in the message pane, though the message will scroll using the mouse wheel.

Secondly there is a thick grey bar beneath the Status bar, about the height if the Mail Toolbar, at the very bottom of window. It has a message in red stating "

Certificate Manager Import fails -> possible bug

Submitted by boevink on December 7, 2007 - 6:07am

Because I have a need foor signing en encrypting my mail, I would like to import a PKCS 12 keypair (*.p12 or *.pfx) into my Certificate manager.

But when importing the keypair, i receive the following error:
"the pkcs #12 operation failed for unknown reasons"

Importing the same keypair file in the non-portable edition of thunderbird succeeds.

Does anyone have experince with that?
Is there a bug-tracker available?

Compatibility problems with Windows Vista

Submitted by fabio_ap541 on December 5, 2007 - 8:17pm

I am having problems to make Thunderbird work with Windows Vista on my Memorex TravelDrive, U3 platform.

Does anyone have this same problem? Could this be a compatibility issue for Thunderbird itself or for the U3 platform (I am not having problems with any other application)

Thanks for any help, assistance or suggestion

Start thunderbird automatically when plugging in usb stick

Submitted by footmechanic on December 5, 2007 - 9:41am

Hi, is there any possibility to let thunderbird start up automatically, when plugging in the devise (usb stick). It would be very handy, because the computer where I download my messages is always in use by other people. If there is an auto start, I wouldnt need to bother them, and they could keep working while I download my messages from the web.

Thunderbird portable love note

Submitted by vyccid on December 4, 2007 - 10:54pm

I had a need to archive email to a CD / DVD and include a mail client to read the contents. I copied the ThunderbirdPortable.ini for running from CD off the support page and added an autorun.inf to make life simple for the user, it works great.

Just pop in the DVD and quite a while later you're reading email. My thanks to all the supporters of this software.
